Decompression Sessions

1:1 somatic wellbeing sessions for you and your teams

Work-related stress doesn’t always come from having too much on our ‘to-do’ list. It can build quietly through the culture of a team, the way people communicate, challenges at home, health worries, or simply feeling isolated working from home. Over time, these micro pressures can take a real toll on how we feel, think, and show up - both at work and in life.

Many organisations genuinely care about their people’s well-being. But true wellbeing goes beyond reactive support; it’s about prevention. A thriving workplace encourages psychological and emotional well-being and creates space for people to pause, recalibrate, and release pressure before it reaches a breaking point.

That’s where Somatic Decompression Sessions come in. Regular one-to-one coaching sessions designed to help your people stay grounded, self-aware and resilient.

What happens in a Decompression Session?

A Decompression Session is a safe, confidential space to pause and exhale. It’s a guided process that allows a person to unpack what they’re carrying - safely, without judgment, so they can reconnect with a sense of balance and clarity.

Life doesn’t stop just because we’re at work. When everyday pressures pile up - workload, family needs, unexpected disruptions, relationship dynamics - we often just push through. Over time, that “just cracking on with it” mentality can lead to disconnection and burnout.

In a Decompression Session, there’s time to slow down, tune into the body, and notice what needs attention. Together, we process what’s present, explore new perspectives, and restore the energy needed to move forward with focus and steadiness.

You can use this space to:
• Explore work-related challenges or difficult conversations
• Reflect on what’s feeling heavy or unclear right now
• Problem-solve in a supportive environment
• Learn from what’s working well
• Simply take time out to breathe, reset and explore nervous system regulation tools

“Drawing on a background in Somatic Coaching, NLP and embodied wellbeing, I create a structured yet compassionate space where you can release pressure, gain perspective, and strengthen psychological resilience at work. With over 20 years’ experience in the corporate world, I understand the realities and demands and how crucial it is to support people in a way that’s both human and effective.”

How often should sessions be held?

Consistency matters more than frequency. To be most effective, Decompression Sessions are best offered weekly or bi-monthly. Regular sessions help prevent the build-up of stress, support early intervention and maintain steady wellbeing and performance across your teams. Around 60-90 minutes per session is optimal.

What about confidentiality?

Confidentiality is a fundamental part of this work. I’m a member of professional bodies, including the ACCPH, which requires all members to adhere to a clear code of ethics and confidentiality. This means that everything discussed in a session remains private, unless there is a concern that someone may be at risk of harm to themselves or others.

Why is this stuff important?

Organisations in the UK have a legal duty of care to protect their employees’ health, safety and wellbeing. Often there is a gap between intent and impact - many businesses talk the talk but don’t walk the walk.

Participating in regular Decompression Sessions helps your organisation meet this duty of care - it’s preventative, not just responsive. It helps reduce risk, boost wellbeing and sustain performance, for happier, healthier people.
